Free vs Pro
What the free WordPress.org plugin includes, what Visibility Flux Pro adds, and what happens when a licence lapses.
Free vs Pro
Visibility Flux ships as two builds from one codebase.
The dividing line is simple: every feature that costs nothing to run is free, forever. Every feature that calls Claude is Pro.
Put another way — free diagnoses, Pro cures.
What is free
Everything deterministic. No API key, no AI call, no account, no time limit:
- Problem Map — every page ranked by estimated lost clicks, with Low CTR, Almost there, cannibalisation, Losing ground and Results
- Content audit — titles, descriptions, thin content, alt text, hreflang
- Speed audit — render-blocking files, main image, JavaScript weight
- Answer readiness — the eleven signals
- AI Access Check and virtual
llms.txt - AI Traffic — click-throughs from twelve assistants
- Commerce Readiness for WooCommerce
- IndexNow instant indexing
- Internal link suggestions, manual title and meta editing with a live Google preview
- Page-builder support throughout, 35 languages including right-to-left
The free plugin makes no calls to our servers and no AI calls.
What Pro adds
The writing, and the two integrations that need credentials:
- AI-generated titles and meta descriptions, written against the page's real ranking queries
- Content generation — intros, sections, FAQ blocks, product CTAs, full rewrites
- Two-pass proofreading that does not break your HTML
- JSON-LD schema generation and a quality score per article
- AI internal link insertion
- Competitor gap research
- Site memory — five layers that learn your brand voice
- Batch processing across the whole site
- Index status via the Search Console URL Inspection API
- Google Indexing API submission
Pro uses your own Anthropic API key, so you pay Anthropic directly for what you use and every action shows its exact cost. See Costs and your API key.
How the two fit together
Visibility Flux Pro is an add-on, not a replacement. You install it alongside the free plugin and both stay active. Nothing is deactivated for you, and nothing is left dangling in your plugins list.
The free plugin owns everything deterministic and all of your data ''' + em + ''' settings, imports, fix history, memory. Pro adds the Claude layer on top through the base plugin's own hooks.
The free plugin must be installed and active. WordPress 6.5 and later reads Pro's
Requires Plugins header and offers to install it for you. If it is missing, Pro says so and
stays inert rather than half-working.
Trying Pro, then going back
Deactivate the add-on. That is the whole procedure. The free plugin was never switched off, so nothing needs restoring and no data moves.
When a trial ends you do not even need to do that. Pro without a licence stops the AI writing and leaves everything else untouched, because everything else belongs to the free plugin:
| After the trial | Still works? |
|---|---|
| Problem Map, Results, Losing ground | Yes |
| Content, Speed and Answer readiness audits | Yes |
| AI Access Check, llms.txt, AI Traffic | Yes |
| Commerce Readiness, IndexNow, internal links | Yes |
| AI titles, content, schema, batch runs | No ''' + em + ''' these ask for a licence |
Deleting the add-on removes only the add-on. It stores nothing of its own, so your settings, imports and history stay exactly where they are.
If a licence lapses or the server is unreachable
Nothing is deleted, and nothing breaks.
- Licence ends — the plugin returns to the free feature set. Your imports, fix history, memory and settings stay exactly where they are
- Licence server unreachable — a licence that verified recently keeps working for three days while the server cannot be reached, re-checking periodically. An outage on our side, or a firewall on yours, does not cost you the features you paid for
- Licence genuinely revoked — Pro features lock immediately
The same applies to Envato purchases.
Upgrading
Visibility Flux Pro is available at infinacode.com, and through Envato with a purchase code.
Install Pro alongside the free plugin and activate both. Nothing is replaced and nothing is switched off — the add-on simply adds its features to the plugin you already have.
